The Entiat School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Cindi Smith as the district’s new School Nurse. With more than 14 years of professional nursing experience in both inpatient and outpatient care, Smith brings a wealth of medical knowledge, compassion, and a strong commitment to student health and well-being.
Smith has served in diverse roles across hospice care, oncology, and employee health, most recently with Confluence Health in Wenatchee. Her background includes patient assessment, care planning, infection control, chronic disease management, and family education. She is recognized for her ability to remain calm under pressure, her empathetic approach, and her dedication to comprehensive, student-centered care.
“I am excited to join the Entiat School District community and to provide health services that ensure students are supported both medically and emotionally,” said Smith. “Since moving to the valley, I’ve enjoyed becoming part of the Entiat community, and I look forward to serving its families in this important role.”
In addition to her professional experience, Smith is deeply engaged in the local community. She regularly attends the Entiat library’s crafting circle, participates in the Entiat Historical Society, and has taken part in community events such as the Entiat Holiday Bazaar.
Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and maintains her RN Multistate Compact license, along with Basic Life Support certification.
