Entiat School District

The following procedures will be employed by the district when, in the opinion of the administration, conditions exist that warrant school closure, delay or early dismissal.

 **The school district will do its best to make the determination of delays/closures by 6:00 am.

 School Closure will occur when conditions are severe enough that it is not in the best interest for students and/or staff to be in school.

 Delayed Opening situations may occur which will delay school opening two hours (start time of 10:15).  If your students’ bus does not arrive within fifteen minutes of its regular time, please look for a notification listed below for information concerning the delayed opening.  Morning preschool will be canceled and no breakfast will be served. 

Students who arrive at school because they did not hear the closure or delay information are asked to go to the main office.

 Early Dismissal situations may occur in which school would be released at an earlier time. Before releasing students, we would attempt to contact parents, and provide notifications as listed below.   Normal bus take home routes would be in effect.  If the driver determines there to be no adult supervision, the student will be returned to school and kept safe under adult supervision, until the guardian arrives.

 Communication/Notifications

Information will be:

• sent out via the Entiat School District App and the Remind App.

• posted at www.entiatschools.org and on the Entiat Schools Facebook page.

• available on local media outlets (560AM, 102.1FM KPQ,) when possible

 NOTE: If you do not receive a notification or you do not see a delay/closure notification posted, the assumption should be that school is running on time.

 Cierre de Emergencia, Inicio Tardío o Salida Temprana

 Los siguientes procedimientos serán empleados por el distrito cuando, en opinión de la administración, existan condiciones que justifiquen el cierre de la escuela, un inicio tardío o una salida temprana.

 El distrito escolar hará todo lo posible para determinar retrasos/cierres antes de las 6:00 a.m.

 Cierre Escolar
El cierre escolar ocurrirá cuando las condiciones sean lo suficientemente severas como para que no sea lo mejor para los estudiantes y/o el personal asistir a la escuela.

 Inicio Tardío
Pueden darse situaciones que retrasen el inicio de clases dos horas (hora de entrada: 10:15). Si el autobús de su estudiante no llega dentro de los quince minutos posteriores a su horario habitual, por favor revise una notificación de las mencionadas abajo para obtener información relacionada al inicio tardío.
El preescolar matutino será cancelado y no se servirá desayuno.
A los estudiantes que lleguen a la escuela porque no escucharon la información del cierre o el retraso se les pedirá que se dirijan a la oficina principal.

 Salida Temprana
Pueden darse situaciones en las que la escuela deba ser liberada antes del horario normal. Antes de liberar a los estudiantes, intentaremos contactar a los padres y proporcionar las notificaciones mencionadas abajo.
Las rutas normales de autobús para regresar a casa seguirán en efecto.
Si el conductor determina que no hay un adulto disponible para recibir al estudiante, éste será regresado a la escuela y mantenido bajo supervisión adulta hasta que llegue su tutor.

Comunicación / Notificaciones

La información será:

• enviada a través de la aplicación del Distrito Escolar de Entiat y la aplicación Remind.

• publicada en www.entiatschools.org y en la página de Facebook de Entiat Schools.

• disponible en medios locales (560 AM, 102.1 FM KPQ), cuando sea posible.

 NOTA: Si no recibe una notificación o no ve publicada una notificación de retraso/cierre, se debe asumir que la escuela opera en horario normal.
