Entiat School District Welcomes New Elementary Principal
Entiat, WA – July 18, 2025 — Entiat School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Sunny Savage as the new Principal of Paul Rumburg Elementary School. With a distinguished career spanning over 25 years in education, Ms. Savage brings a depth of leadership experience and a passion for equity, excellence, and community-centered education.
Ms. Savage most recently served as Principal at Carriage Crest Elementary in the Kent School District, where she led efforts to strengthen inclusive practices, support social-emotional learning, and foster a safe, engaging environment for students and staff. Her leadership emphasized equity, collaborative problem-solving, and data-informed decision-making.
Before her role at Carriage Crest, she served as Assistant Principal at Glenridge Elementary (Kent) and John Newbery Elementary (Wenatchee). Also, she held the dual role of Principal and Special Education Director for the Kittitas School District. She has further demonstrated a commitment to educational access as a Migrant/Bilingual Summer School Principal in Wenatchee, helping second-language learners thrive through specialized programming and community partnership.
Ms. Savage holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Central Washington University, a Master’s in Teaching from Grand Canyon University, and an administrative endorsement from Western Governors University.
