We are pleased to announce that Dr. Malcolm Butler from the Chelan Douglas Health District has approved us to bring Preschool, Kindergarten, First and Second grade students on-site in a “hybrid” model (AM/PM). In order to do so, we are required to reduce class size and time on campus for all students as well as maintain stringent health and safety expectations.
We are currently working on the half-day student schedule. Teachers will teach half of their students in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. Students will be on-site for approximately 3 hours per day, Monday through Friday. The session times will remain the same 8:30-11:30 and 12:30-3:30.
Class sizes will range from 8-12 students
Transportation will be provided for both morning and afternoon classes
Morning and afternoon sessions will be based on student addresses so we can meet our bussing guidelines
Food service will continue in the current model-no meals are served at school-grab and go
Sibling groups will be on the same schedule
Students will be required to wear masks and maintain physical distance while at school
Parents will be required to complete a health screening in Skyward at home each day, for each child, before sending their child(ren) to school
We fully expect more grade levels to be added to this hybrid model in the coming weeks if the infection rates stay low
We will provide more detailed information in the next two weeks.
